"Failed to instantiate Windows Script Control."

I'm trying to install [and run] the latest version of Libra. When I try to start it up, I get the "Failed to instantiate Windows Script Control" message. I've downloaded and installed the Windows Script Control as asked, uninstalled Libra, reinstalled Libra, started program, get error, and repeated the whole process a few times. Unfortunately, it's just not working. The installer finishes fine, and the LibraCam opens like it should, but I'm constantly getting that "Failed to instantiate ..." message when I start Libra.

I've tried looking through the forum, and it looks like there was a case or two with a similar problem but with a previous version of Libra and is supposedly fixed in the new version? I don't know. I've got v.9.2 and am trying to install that.

I'm running XP Media Center Edition if that helps at all.

Thanks for the help anyone can provide.

Windows Script Control error

Hi - I'm having the same problem as well... have updated to the very latest Windows Script Control, uninstalled and then reinstalled Libra - but it still comes up with the same error message.

Any patches / fixes / suggestions for how this could be mended? Am happy to IM with techsupport if they want to check out what could be making this happen.

Weds :-)

Same problem

I have the same problem and tried all that you did. My problem is on my laptop but the program installed and runs fine on my desktop computer.

To my knowledge, the is nothing major different between the two machines. I try to keep both configured the same and files synced.

Any one have any clues to our mystery?
