Libra 'Add' Trouble

Recently my copy of Libra won't let me add many new items. The program starts normally but after I've entered in the search info and pressed 'ENTER' often a message comes up saying that the program has stopped working and it closes. Why is this and can it be fixed easily? I think it'll be the most recent version of Libra that I've got as it was downloaded onto a Vista run laptop.

Any help appreciated :)

Have added about 40 items

Have added about 40 items and am now getting this same message when trying to add to library.

Probably the installation filesi

I've added over 1,000 books, and the program works fine with me, except when opening the libra, it took little bit long.
I'm not the expert, but try to clean your temporary internet files and your user temporary files. Somehow libra is using browser files. So if you have problem with your program, try to clean it first. If it doesn't work, try uninstall it and reinstall again

This is probably the same

This is probably the same problem as mentioned here: http://www.getlibra.com/node/280 (...and all over this forum - do you think the developers ever come here?)

Adding books to Libra

I just down loaded Libra last week. After about 12 books it will not let me add any more. It crashes the program. I have no problems with the DVD however, and I have about 150+ intere already. I would like to know if anyone has solved the book entry problem.

Adding seems to have stopped working!

I don't seem to be able to enter any books any more, and I only have 20-ish entered!

This is regardless of whether I scan the barcodes, or search manually! In each case, it produces a dump file, but there doesn't seem to be anywhere obvious to send this file!

Me tooo! I'm so glad it's

Me tooo! I'm so glad it's not just me! Is there any sort of patch that can fix this problem? I keep worrying that the program shutting down like that will damage my catalogue or even my computer.

All of the above and more

I get a selection of similar problems, see my new post "Import from Excel 2007"
It crashes when I try to

  • import from an excel file
  • import a list of ISBN numbers in plain text format
  • search for a book by title rather than ISBN

The only method I can get to work is adding books, one at a time, by their ISBN number.

I get the same problem when

I get the same problem when I try to adding/searching books through Amazon UK!!! Any help?

Libra add trouble

I frequently see the same problem. The only thing I have found that helps is to modify the search query. I usually search by author - title. On a problem search for example I may drop the author and only search for the title. This procedure will at least allow me to search for and enter the new title. If all else fails search by ISDN.

I find that this happens

I find that this happens very often as well. I usually search by ISDN and I find that if that causes the program to stop working, then so will the standard barcode number and the exact title. To still enter the item without causing this to happen, I have to search for only part of the title and then scroll to find it. I also have a Vista laptop. While it is still possible to add items, it makes it very slow.

shutting down

I too have Vista and have encountered these problems of the program closing when trying to add an item. Since i only recently started to use this program i dont know if its a Vista compatibility issue or not. Anyone out there have this problem that is running Windows XP or earlier?

shutting down

I have XP, and have similar problems. Every now and then, the error message pops up while I am scanning in new books. I have also had it happen while searching for titles, and every time I try to export into any format.
